Jim Wennblom, says:
VO-52 is the BEST
Hello again,
My first QSOs were just completed on
orbit 169:
1620Z K0VTY Joe EN11 Nebraska
1622Z K0MDJ Mark EN32 Iowa
1624 N2OEQ Tom FN30 New York
My Transmit frequency was 435.245 and my
receive frequency shifted from 145.900 to 145.910
through the 12 minute pass. I am using a Kenwood
TS-790AM Squared circular polarized antennas and a Yaesu
AZ/EL Rotator. I was on last night for orbit
161 and heard a VE4 calling me but it was
at the end of the pass for me and I didn't get the call.

Ramakrishnan Muthukrishnan, reports
Had an overhead pass over Bangalore at 10.32 PM on 15th
May 2005
(yesterday). Heard 59+ signals from VU2POP, VU2CAP, VU2SBJ.
Two new
stations VU2/3 MTT and VU2ROE were also heard. No DX
stations were
heard (as can be expected from a high elevation pass).
A suggestion for future AMSAT-IN missions will be to have
some kind of
digital transmission of Telemetry signals which can be
received by
hams. This will help in getting the station setup in Digital
capability (like PSK or QPSK with FEC). AO-40 had a simple
400 bps
telemetry with BPSK. Something similar will be quite nice. I
iwll be
interested in helping in any such efforts.
