HAMSAT give's new meaning to the turm "easy sat"
1. it is easy to hear
2 it is easy to hit
3 more than one "qso" can take place at one time
Mode-B rocks
great job and may she live a long life to help bring in new satellite
operators from all over the world.

Hi!
Today I was able to hear the 1011UTC pass over europe of Hamsat. Equipment I
used was a vertical omnidirectional antenna mounted on the roof of my car.
The receiver was a IC-R10 hand held scanner. I heared many stations, the
most between 144,880 and 145,920 in SSB. When the pass was at maximum
elevation about 60 degrees and the sat was in a range of about 700kms, I
tried to key my hand held 70cm TRX with 1 Watt into a rubberduck antenna,
and was able to find a poor signal on the downlink, so maybe a cw qso would
have been possible with this setup.
So let me say, thanks a lot for that great bird, will work it soon.

Our thanks and congrats to Amsat-India !! Well done ! Nice
& easy to work
satellite.
Signals loud , 59+ on the pass, but looks like is time to give it a break to
recharge batteries ? , sat was "FMing" on this pass even if
using a few
watts. Made a QSO with HK4MKE and also with YV5KXE.
Can work a few degrees in the horizont lower than the AO51 wich is really
great.
Any on USA with the same report ?

Hello!
I monitored two passes today:
~1650 UTC - hrd MANY North American stations and worked K5WH,
N5UXT and
K5MAN 45 deg max el.
~1823 UTC - Worked N5UXT and hrd others 10 deg max el.
EXCELLENT quality signals but did notice some fading probably
caused by
satellite orientation, and/or tumbling.
More passes later this evening!!
